The Tyrannosaurus, or more commonly known by the species name, T.rex, is possibly the most famous prehistoric animal ever, and the most famous dinosaur ever. It's name means "Tyrant Lizard" and the Rex part of it's name means king.
It was one of the largest predators ever to walk on two legs. With individuals reaching 12.3 metres long, and weighing more than a bull elephant, it was certainly a formidable hunter. Its mouth was filled with sixty teeth, each 30 centimetres long. They were the bluntest of any theropod, but that was because they were designed for crushing bone, not slicing flesh. It is also unknown if it's stubby arms were of any use to their species. Most people think that it was a hunter, however it could have been a scavenger, or most likly both (As practically all predators scavenge from time to time)
