Birkhahn Streep is a morph of Dendrobates auratus. It is identified by its pale coloration. Surprisingly variable, the Birkhahn Streep can range from mint green to pale green with bronze to very pale bronze/silver backgrounds. Hailing from the highlands near the eastern coast of Central America, this morph was first kept in captivity in Europe (where it known as 'Panama special'). This morph evidently may need slightly cooler temperatures due to the higher elevations in which it is found in the wild, and is still rare in the hobby.
