American Alligators are a species of alligator found mostly in freshwater rivers, lakes, swamps and marshes in the United States, mainly in Florida and Louisiana.
Their special features include a special ability to swim fast and a powerful jaw to catch prey, which can include fish, turtles, snakes and small mammals.
